Ah, that would explain the occasional whiring click sound then
.
Because its so close I am trying to get down every couple of days. Will be interesting to watch it develop. Close to Killingholme haven too, so bonus of two reserves in a day.

Hi Nick,
Yes, I happened to meet the Ecology Officers last week on the site. The cameras apparently take a shot every 15 mins , I think they said. Rachel, the new Officer, also takes a photo of the entries in the sightings book each time she goes.

I suspected as much. They are set quite high, so probably to capture deer or such like wandering down to drink maybe.

Hi Nick,
I believe the trail cams at the site belong to the NELC team that are managing the Cress Marsh project.

Visited this afternoon, saw usual suspects plus 2 adult cormorants and 1 juvenile..
Also, 2 remote cams, 1 fitted to post just outside of hide and another to frame post of the hide. Anyone know who's they are?

A couple of excellent spots this week (Snipe, Ruff) by fellow birders, brings the site’s total to 53
I am given to understand that in a couple of weeks’ time the ground will be turned over and seeded. The path is also going to be relaid. Cattle will probably not be on site until next autumn.
