Visited site for an hour (16:20 to 17:20) on my way home from work yesterday afternoon. The was a fairly strong NW wind blowing but the sun was shining. No work activities were being carried on site at the time of my visit, however, it was apparent that work installing a new power line pole by the corner of the lagoon (by blue water pipe) still needs to be completed. The tractor was also parked on site.
Despite the lack of disturbance, the site was pretty quiet, with 16 species recorded:

Black-headed Gull 50 - there were no Gulls on site for most of my time on site. A large flock arrived from the direction of Grimsby just as I was about to pack up and leave the hide. Fifty gulls dropped in onto the lagoon, with many more continuing up river along the Humber.

Buzzard 3 - all birds seen soaring over the trees at the rear of the site.
Carrion Crow
Common Gull 1
Green Sandpiper 1 - feeding on exposed mud in lagoon.
Greenshank 1 - feeding on exposed mud in lagoon.
Herring Gull 5 - arrived with Black-headed Gulls.
Linnet 14 - in usual places along path to the hide.
Magpie
Mallard 4 -on lagoon.
Pied Wagtail 8 - flock of birds seen around the lagoon.
Ringed Plover 1
Swallow 1
Teal 3 - on lagoon.
Wheatear 1 - seen in area adjacent to the car park.
Woodpigeon

Jon

I arrived at Cressy early afternoon to see a lorry trundling across the scrapes and activity around the lagoon..... I thought there was little chance of many birds being around, so went elsewhere .
Thanks for photo Nick

Managed an hour at dinnertime today, but apart from a couple of Wheatears, Linnets, Goldfinches and Swallows while walking to the hide, there was little activity at the lagoon.
A few mallards and Teal, a couple of yellow wags and pied wags there was nothing else showing. This was more than likely due to the workmen installing a new telegraph set up near the green box/blue pipe end of the lagoon.

The remote/trail cams are now back in place too. Would be curious to know what the previous cam session recorded. Would it be worth an email to Rachel, Joy?
