Where are the records from the south of the County?

I'm sorry my comments made you feel ill John but I believe you have missed my point.  It is solely about the lack of use of the Forum, not Chris's excellent sightings or any other section of the Lincolnshire Bird Club website.  As you say yourself there are only a handful of observers who enter discussions on the Forum and all are from the north of the "old" Lincolnshire.  That is the point I tried to make.

Throughout the night I was ill but each time I had been sick Stuart's comment about "obsolute" kept annoying me!

I have a few points to make about this thread and the first is what does Stuart call south of Market Rasen?

I am so angry but I will have to be careful what I say. I will fight tooth and nail until the last breath to keep the forum going because I thoroughly enjoy being on it despite fall outs from time to time!

I have just looked at Chris G's Latest News and of the sites mentioned as far as I know all are south of Market Rasen, there are lots of sites I have heard of but no idea where they are except I know they are not in North Lincs. Although I don't come on forum every day I always look at the Latest News which can be viewed member or not, and more times than not the sightings are from the South of the county and also from from the East , so Stuart do you view the Latest News because then you would see far more than you would on the forum pages, that way your quest to see South of M Rasen would be satisfied!

If it wasn't for the likes of Alan, Jim, Jon, Myself, John W, Geoff & Pete very little would be seen on the forum and then all of it would be obsolete because very few others post anything.

While researching last night I noticed a distinct lack of female members posting anything, why, I always enjoyed reading posts from a North Thoresby garden but that hasn't been on for a long time, maybe the member is ill or found another way of putting their records on.

Another well known female member I have seen logged in when I am, but I have rarely seen them post anything but I could be wrong.

During this thread only Jim, Alan, Chris, Myself & Jon have posted a reply to Stuart's question which is about standard for these type of Q's , the others are either not in the least bothered, don't want to stir the boat, on holiday, ill etc.

That will do till I think of something else to say.

Regards

John aka Max

It's splitting hairs but I think I'd prefer the term 'dormant' to 'obsolete'.

It just take two or three members in the south to resume posting records, thereby sparking a re-awakening.

Thank you for research, John.  One report from Stamford and one from Woodhall Spa out of 153 reports totally backs up my observation.  The Forum is obsolete in most of Lincolnshire.
