Went to Trippling Hows but the farmer was muck spreading and the smell from my house a few miles away was bad enough but where I normally park the stench was awful so turned round and left within seconds! Did see a family of 12 juvenile Pheasants with mum all tootling along track.

Black Bank: 18:00 - 20:15 sunny and breezy

Kestrel - 4
Wood Pigeons - 40
Pheasant - juvenile almost got all colour.
Rook
Black-headed Gull - 300
Common Gull - 20
LBB Gull - 8
Buzzard - 2 pale
Hobby
Lapwing - 150
Starling - 30
Crow - 18
Mallard - 29 over
Goldfinch - 3

Really enjoyed all of it but especially the Hobby switching from one side of road to other!

Cheers

John

After visiting old sites not seen in years decided to visit the patch.

Farmer's Lane: 14:30

Buzzard on tree.
Sedge Warbler
female Pheasant + 5 juvs which I almost stood on.

Black Bank:  15:50

Little Owl  at usual place.
Goldfinch - 5

East Butterwick: 15:15
Linnet - 12

Trippling Hows Bridleway: 16:45

Buzzard

Enjoyable day both on patch and further afield seeing raptors but extreme lack of coloured butterflies, but loads of whites.

Cheers
