After taking car for it's first MOT first thing didn't want to waste the day stopping home, so got gear etc and went out all day and thoroughly enjoyed it all, rarely moved away from car (hide) and only saw & spoke to two walkers at NW. Another good day for raptors.

I have reported sightings from here a good number of years now but will adhere to your request.
Alan Hudson sometimes calls Farmers Lane " Brumby Common" although I never have. As I turn left from Scotter Road ,Scunthorpe on the A159 I turn into the road called Farmers Lane that is what the road is named on the sign and as I drive down the long lane Brumby Common West (as it says on the OS Map) is either side and covers Grid Ref SE 8409/10 & SE 8509/10 & SE 8609/10. The lane ends near the village of Burringham very close to Carr Dyke where I have reported from for 20 years.
I appreciate those who don't live in my town (and some that do) will have no clue as to where Farmers Lane is. As on many occasions other members post sightings to places have never heard of.
If you want any more info Chris will do my best to help.
Kind regards
John aka Max

Common Gull - 40
Black-headed Gull - 350
Starling - 200
Black Bank: 17.55 - 18.45
Goldfinch - 5
Black headed Gull - 1!
Mute Swan still in dyke swimming along with much more water there, also grass on northern bank been cut, it seemed happy.
Crow - 50
Starling - 30
Male Sparrowhawk chasing a wee bird down side track.
Enjoyed the time with a flask of tea, biscuits and nibbles.
John
PS: going down Farmer's Lane at far end heard familiar sound of Chinook's coming so grabbed camera and got out car to take pic of two flying very low, and damn me a car coming from both directions made me shift mine so they could get past ( it's a single track road with passing places but I wasn't near any), by time I'd got camera on and in focus the Chinook's were in distance, got one in view. Before they came I hadn't seen a car for 20 minutes!! Sod's Law strikes again!!
