Weather: Overcast, cool, SE breeze
Time on site: 06:20-08:00

An early morning visit to site today, produced my second only record of Barn Owl at Cress Marsh. List of species recorded during my visit:

Barn Owl    1 - perched on fence post in front of the "long" hedge that runs alongside the railway line.
Buzzard    2 
Carrion Crow    3
Dunnock    1
Gadwall    3
Goldfinch    10
Herring Gull    7 - flew over site heading SW. No other Gulls on site.
Kestrel    1
Linnet    20 - flock flying around over the Field Scrapes
Little Egret    6
Little Grebe    6
Magpie    1
Mallard    20
Mute Swan    10
Pheasant    4
Robin    1
Shoveler    7
Snipe    1 - feeding on lagoon shore between the hide and water pump.
Stock Dove    2
Teal    30
Tufted Duck    6
Woodpigeon    c40
Yellowhammer    2
Fox    1 - walking along the path to the hide
Roe Deer    3

No problem Phil. It will be near the book.
BTW, thats my camera trap at the last gate. We think an owl is using the opposite post as a perch, so I have left the trap there for a couple of days to see what happens.

Just had an hour at Cress, and while on path back to car I found this Nikon part. Will put in hide on next visit, which will probably be Monday afternoon.
