Went off-patch and to old sites not been to in years hoping for target species, sadly was disappointed.
Broughton Woods far to muddy and gates locked!
Keb Wood not a bird in sight!
Appleby Railway crossing had Kestrel on post while waiting for gates to open.
Appleby Carrs can almost always guarantee a raptor, not today only one Mute Swan!
Risby Warren: 13.30 - 13.40 dry.
Buzzard
Lapwing - 50
Blackbird - 3
Fieldfare - 39.
Roxby:
Kestrel
Mallard - 12
Tufted Duck - 6
Winterton Floods: 13.55 - 14.30 heavy rain
Little Grebe - 4
Tufted Duck - 23
Gulls.
Farmers Lane: 14.55 - 15.20 heavy rain
Linnet - c100
Chaffinch - 32
Greenfinch - 6
Goldfinch - 32
Robin
Magpie - 2
Gulls
Kestrel
Little Egret - 2
Black Bank: 15.30 - 16.30 Rain
Whoopers still in same place.
Buzzard
Hare
Lt Tit/Blue/Great & Coal Tits.
Blackbird - 5
Reed Bunting - 3 male (video of one, very flighty) at FS.
No place like home patch!!!!
Cheers
