I had a quick look.

2021 I only had single figures. When I get chance will look at other years. I know they will most likely be single figures as well. It's good to compare the years that why I prefer to put the year on to My Garden etc.

Cheers

Jim,

Your right about the arrivals, the Redwing & Fieldfare come quite a few weeks earlier than the Blackbirds, although it's rare for the first two to visit my garden have obviously seen them on my patch for a while. Am going to check the records on here to see what number Blackbirds visited last few years, but have never had 27 before in one go.

I looked on Google earlier re the Redwing on flags and it said one has whereas the Fieldfare hasn't, odd.

What with the long-staying Osprey close by and now the large number of Blackbirds am wondering what the third bird will be, as the saying goes, everything comes in threes!!

Cheers

Alan,

have you got any trees with berries on, cos have got three hawthorns, four cherries and numerous other trees, I also put apples and pears out plus calciworms plus I don't have any grass, below the trees is leave litter with lots of creepy crawlies waiting for the Blackbirds to uncover in both the front & back gardens.

Cheers
