Yesterday between 19:00 & 19:30 assorted gulls c300 came over going to roost north east, probably to Reeds Island or Winterton Floods. Seen them do this for decades.
Found dead Feral Pigeon in two halves most likely cat.
Wood Pigeon still on nest.
Had a first year female Blackbird today, first blackbird for a month or more. Earlier in year four broods in garden but sadly only one left and no adults.

A wee bird that have not had visit in months came yesterday and today with it's mates. Yesterday had Five Long-tail Tits and today had Seven each time flitting between the large Fat Ball feeder and the Hawthorn Trees, seeing these cheered me no end!! Also today some of the Goldfinch (5) returned to the niger/sunflower hearts. Thankfully the Feral Pigeons are still staying away!! The Spuggie numbers have reduced drastically meaning they are not getting through the nuts as before, typical when I decided to buy two bucketfuls.

Aug 6th: adult Spuggy feeding juv perched on Elderberry.
Aug 8th: LT Tit - 5 (not seen for months) on Field Maple.
Aug 9th: c100 Gulls over school area, flying ants expect.
Spuggies still hammering away at the nut feeders.
Not seen any Blackbirds for ages.
Blue Tits here daily on the nuts, Coal Tit called in one day.
Two Wood Pigeons and one juv last week.
Not had any Feral Pigeons for weeks thankfully!

As of yesterday the two carcass had gone, mystery thickens. My guess is Hedgehog, they do eat birds. Possible Fox but would have expected them to either eat or take away night before.
July 28th: Buzzard - 2 over high, Wren in privet hedge with Swift - 2 mid evening plus usual gang.

Got two photos of two juvenile birds have just found in back garden, think they are Wood Pigeons, must have happened either today or late yesterday as I was watching butterflies till teatime yesterday, sad. I would omit Sparrowhawk, wonder if Magpie did it. All week have heard the adult Wood Pigeons calling and again today.
