Visited for the first time today and certainly think the habitat created there has the potential for adding further good bird species to the site list alongside the Spoonbills, Glaucous Gull etc

Highlights between 11.30 - 14.30:
1 Little Grebe
6 Little Egret
2 Common Buzzard
1 Peregrine
2 Oystercatcher
2 Curlew
1 Greenshank
3 Black-tailed Godwit
1 Lapwing
5 Little Ringed Plover
1 Yellow Wagtail

Visit today, 1430- 1545 approx to check on cattle - only 4 seen as they were hunkered down out of the wind. Breezy with occasional rain

Visited site this afternoon (13:10 - 15:25). Weather : Sunny with heavy showers and a near gale force SW wind blowing.
29 species recorded:

Black tailed Godwit 19 (Lagoon) - all looking splendid in their breeding plumage.

An hour on site this afternoon for what proved to be an easy check on the cattle, as they were all together at the back of the Pylon Scrapes. Whilst on site, 25 species of bird were recorded:

Avocet 3 - lagoon
Black-headed Gull 10 - lagoon
Blackbird - car park
Carrion Crow
Chiffchaff 1 - singing from trees by the car park
Coot 6 - lagoon (2 pairs, 1 chick each)
Cormorant 1 - lagoon
Gadwall 1 - lagoon
Greylag Goose 1- area C
Herring Gull 84 - area H
Lapwing 3 - area A
Lesser Black-back Gull 36 - areas C and H
Little Egret 2 - lagoon. Only one recorded in hide log book. Second bird flew in as I walked back to the car.
Little Ringed Plover 1 - lagoon
Magpie
Mallard 12 - lagoon and area C
Mute Swan 2 - lagoon
Oystercatcher 3 - lagoon ( 1 pair with 1 chick)
Pied Wagtail 3 - area D
Reed Bunting 2 - long path

Skylark 4 - singing over pylon and field scrapes

Yellowhammer 1 - singing from hedge at the back of the pylon scrapes
