Visited site late this afternoon (15:50 to 17:00). Weather conditions : Overcast with a SE breeze blowing. Water levels in the "Pylon scrapes" area have dropped and areas of mud around the scrapes are showing. Water levels in other areas of the site are still very high.

Twenty-four species of bird recorded:

Black-tailed Godwit 1 (H)
Black-headed Gull 8 (H)
Cormorant 1
Gadwall 5 (Lagoon & H)
Great Black-backed Gull 12 (H)
Green Sandpiper 5 (H & I)
Greylag Goose 10 (D)
Herring Gull 11 (H)
Kestrel 1 (flew over Field Scrapes whilst being mobbed by half a dozen Pied Wagtails)
Lapwing 10 (Field & Pylon Scrapes)
Lesser Black Back Gull 9 (H)
Magpie
Mallard 2 (Lagoon)
Peregrine 1 (perched on Lenzing building)
Pheasant
Pied Wagtail 18
Reed Bunting 1 (along Long Path)
Shelduck 6 (B & F)
Skylark
Song Thrush 1 (singing in trees by car park)
Starling 50
Teal 18 (Lagoon, A & G)
Tufted Duck 2 (Lagoon)
Woodpigeon 200 (Long Hedge)

Also three Roe Deer at the side of the Lagoon.

Hi Jon

That is really interesting but I didn't see a peregrine at all despite trying to scan the skies occasionally and having a good look at the ledges on the power station chimneys.
I will remember what you have said during my next visit, though.
