I agree, and if the writer ever met John he would realise he is anything but a snob. He is in his 70's and not in the best of health and sometimes cannot get out because of this. Yet, he is more than willing to share his findings and help anyone he meets. People who make ill judged comments ought to be more aware of the situation before they do so. If he does not like the reports then the simple answer is do not read them.

If you had ever visited Worlaby Carrs a few years ago you would realise why it is undisclosed. It is a set of fields alongside a road only suitable for a single l vehicle at a time with only a couple of passing places. Worlaby in its heyday attracted dozens of birders and created problems through both behaviour of some plus clogging the road up. This area could not sustain anything like this and would lead to immense problems.

The information is put on just for interest and to let people know what is in the general area of North Lincolnshire. Visits to all other sites if youu take care to notice are identified. I do not think you should make such unfair and unwanted comments without being aware of the situation.

Also undisclosed sites are often on private land with no general access, By the way anyone can read the reports without being a member.

Hi, I'm probably speaking out of turn here, but surely the idea of the bird club is to share sighting's and the places they have been seen, only member's have  access to the reports on this forum, so what is the problem ?
Does this bloke think he's something special and only he is aloud to have a look, This attitude is what keeps people thinking that the club is for a select few and maybe that's why people sometimes stay away.
Sorry, but it has driven me mad since i first read undisclosed area of north Lincolnshire. What's the point of the report, it means nothing !.

Its snobbery like this that kills clubs.

Aye your right mate, I was that excited at seeing the Golden Plovers flying back and forth something have never seen in those numbers flying. Did once have 6,000 alongside 3,000 Lapwings on a small island at Old Moor but they never flew up! Those had been counted by the warden.

If I remember correctly before seeing the pair of Grey Partridge and juvs a while back, hadn't seen any for years, so will edit my post for you.

Regards

Max
