Yesterday had three hours in the sun and wind, again the raptors provided me with a spectacle. Nice to find a place and very few know about it, and it was little old me (Max) the person who was ridiculed by well known North Lincs twitchers years ago for suspect raptor sightings!! That's got that off me chest lol.

In the past I have watched the White-tailed Sea Eagle for hours on end both filming and taking pics of them on Mull, seeing nine Golden Eagle in one day also on Mull, seen numerous Merlin all over UK, had umpteen Sparrowhawk in garden and out and about, seen one hundred Red Kite in air at once in Scotland, seen a Rough-leg locally, seen Goshawk in several places, also Peregrine, Osprey over house and locally, Hobby all over, a Monty in Lincs/Yorks, Hen/Marsh Harriers, Honey Buzzard in Wales/Yorks and thoroughly enjoyed them all BUT today saw a sight have never seen in all my years and made me that happy am still buzzing nine hours later! Today saw more Common Buzzards than ever before, it was a wonderful sight and will live in my memory forever.
160 minutes of me smiling from ear to ear:
Common Buzzard - 27 all in air at same time, magic!
Kestrel - 5
Sparrowhawk - 2
Marsh Harrier - 2
Common Gull - 2
LBB Gull - 1
Black-head Gull - 1
Grey Partridge - 2 adult + 6 juvs
Goldfinch - 60
Grey Heron - 1
Corvids.
A day as good as this doesn't come around to often.
