Read with interest the three letters but the one by Ms Glennon was very funny.  Many years ago a pair of Blackbird set up home in a lilac tree and after a while could hear the juvs so got me steps and looked in nest at four fluffy things, next day the nest had ragged and no sign of juvs, I thought the cat had got them but a pal said a Magpie most likely culprit. Last three years and this had a pair of Magpie nest in conifer and each time seen two juvs as yet not seen this years.

Wonder what else will be blamed?

Sooner or later, someone was bound to bring magpies into the debate.

My money is on that Mr Juniper doesn't own a cat.

Not only will climate change have claimed victims but also avian flu.

Still think the rspb figures are wrong.

Wondering why Cat Protection or similar organisations not got involved to defend the cats.

None of my cats ever wore a bell or a collar, wouldn't have fancied trying to put one on , they would have  Fought like to hell to resist.

Will read Jim's next cat post in a mo.

John
PS: well done to the two readers and I agree with their comments.
