I have just finished reading REBIRDING by BENEDICT MACDONALD. (2019)
It is an extremely well researched, easily read, beautifully written, thought provoking, detailed account of how the current parlous state of UK birdlife has occurred. But Macdonald also provides a vision and pragmatic solutions as to how it could be remedied.
If you have enjoyed Isabella Tree’s ‘Wilding’, about the amazing project at Knepp, you will find many similar themes in this book.
IMHO these books should be required reading for all Birders...... and ecology officers......and nature charity CEOs....and.....!!
