Hi John, I don't suppose Ian Newton's book : "The Speciation and Biogeography of Birds" 2003,Collins, is in Ed's collection is it? I have been after that for ages but not seen one under £80.00 yet.

Hopefully Pete

Got a shock when I put the first two mentioned in to google, one is priced at £100+ and the other is £43!! I'll have to rethink my plan of how to get rid.

Books was created by John T Goy
My old friend Ed who came with me many times and whom I learnt a great deal of knowledge from is downsizing his large book collection and has asked me to sell them if poss and donate the funds to a charity of my choice or otherwise leave it to myself to find the books a good home/s. The books range from the 1940s to present times but at present I have only been through a dozen of them , a large part of them are in excellent condition with dust covers and mostly hardback, his family and he only brought them a couple of days ago. I certainly won't list them all one by one on here or my fingers will be aching to much from typing. A good number of books are for birds in UK, USA and other parts of World. Some are for specific birds and others for assorted birds.

Three examples are The Peregrine Falcon 2nd edition by Derek Ratcliffe hardback published 1993 454 pages, The Hobby by Anthony Chapman hardback published 1999 220 pages and The British Bird by E.A.R. Ennion published 1943 hardback 172 pages. The latter book I checked online its price ranges from £5.99 - £11.99.

Right that's started the ball rolling.

Regards

John
