It usually prefers kitchen to hang out, just been in and it was on draining board so slowly emptied washing up bowl and got to come on me hand and placed it on wee table, as I walked off it flew on me trousers, said you can't on there so put it back on table and wondered if it wanted a drink, so placed tiny drop of water on table and got camera and took another pic, can confirm 100% it is a Large Yellow-Underwing cos as it flew to me could clearly see the orange/yellow, nice to have company for a change, rarely have visitors.

The LYU almost drowned tonight, I went in kitchen for supper and it was in washing up bowl clinging on to half submerged tupperware tub , so put my finger next to it to climb on, which it did, told it to watch out, it flew up to fluorescent light to safety, for good measure left light on.

First guess is Large Yellow Underwing but it's wrong time of year. A mate thinks it's Early Moth although time of year correct but I don't think it is. Hope someone is an expert on forum. Brian Hedley is but never comes on. I hate not knowing!!
