For the first time in a month the weather was right for ringing at one of my garden sites near Osgodby.  It has always been a good site if Siskins were on the move and 41 new Siskins ringed in two hours was a good omen.  I had to stop at 1130 as the owner was working in the garden so I went on to another regular garden site at Kirmond le Mire and caught 20 or so birds, 4 of which were Siskins.  This is the first time since 2018 I have caught any there and the earliest since I started ringing there in 2001.  Let's hope they hang around until the weather improves again.  (All birds on both sites entered on Bird Track.)
