Five over Cleethorpes at 12.50pm today.

Now bring on the wrynecks!

(Quiz question: Which species is between the wryneck and the swift in the Observer Book of Birds?)

12.08.23 We had 9 drifting South over North Somercotes at 20.00. That's the most I've seen together in Somercotes all year

Just stepped outside again (8.15am) and 3 flew, screeching and swirling, right over my house in a general southerly direction, with four more approaching from SW.
It's probably better if I just let you know when all the action has died down over Whites Road.

I had groups of 5, 9 and 15 whirling over my house in Cleethorpes on Wednesday, Jim, which is not far from you, I believe. Had them pretty much throughout the day up to 8.30pm. I have just looked from my back garden out of curiosity (7.50am, looking inland, up Taylor's Ave)) and spotted 6 straight away!
