Six of us attended the work party and many willows were removed which should improve the feeding areas for waders. 2 Jack Snipe were seen plus 2 Redshank and 4 Lapwing dropped in after the work was finished, a Yellowhammer was singing.

6/3/18 1 Jack Snipe still and 6 Snipe.
8/3/18 44 Pink-footed Geese in field east of pool, 45 Teal, 2 Cormorant landed in the adjacent stream and 2 Redshank.
There will be a work party tomorrow morning (Friday the 9th) starting around 0930 all are welcome, bring your own tools. Willows have started encroaching on the favoured wader feeding areas, we should also get a chance to do a count of the Jack Snipe.
