Thanks Chris, I will carry on as normal as some members seem to enjoy the records. I do recognise the enormous amount of work you do put in for the forum which would be a poorer site without it. If none of the MSQ sightings do not get on the latest information that is okay because as you said they are there on the forum anyway. Apologies for earlier rant, must keep taking the tablets!

Alan I don't want you to stop doing something you enjoy and others enjoy reading about. Let me have your email address and i will send you mine and then you can send your records to me directly. Problem solved if you agree

Recognising that Chris does seem to have a lot to do, as a very junior member of the Club, I do not use most Social media including Twitter and Facebook as it caused so many problems amongst big teams where I worked so I shunned it all. So I only refer to the Forum and - when out and about - can get the yesterday update on my phone. So Alan - as occasional visitors to Messingham - which we love - John and I are reliant on your forum entries if we want to know what has been seen so please don't give up.

To make life easier I am no longer going to submit records and will not be renewing my membership.
This will then stop any further need for discussion.
Alan,
If it wasn't for you and I no sightings would be put on here, for our area, I daresay someone will pop up and say "I do" but whoever that person is I can almost guarantee its an occasional sighting not two or three times a week like Alan does whenever he is available. I try to go out as and when my health allows me which is mainly once a week and sometimes twice.
In regards to why I put my sightings on the forum rather than other places is down to I've been doing it best part of twenty years and although I keep all my sighting logs etc if I want to find what I saw in 2012 all I need do is come on the forum and find said day etc and get it.
I do get a bit worked up when have had a decent sighting/s and its not listed on "Latest Sightings" and then read someone else has had a bog standard sighting at ?????????? and got a mention, I tend to think that certain sites (not mentioning who or what) who put daily sightings on Twitter get preferential treatment, some weeks there is hardly a day goes by that this site isn't mentioned on the "Latest Sightings" but that's life.
I hope Alan will change his mind, I know him really well and look forward to his reports, most of which are on my patch or should I say our patch.
I'll continue putting my sightings of anything I see on here so I have a permanent record.
Regards
John

Alan - please keep submitting records. They're greatly valued - we don't get many from your patch.
Also your occasional cricketing contributions provide welcome relief.
And, most important - keep up your membership of LBC.
