Party of six orange-plumaged black-tailed godwits far out on Cleethorpes central beach this morning. Since the start of this month, there have been  up to 50 curlew on the  beach or the saltmarsh.

From vantage point the leisure centre, the long-staying peregrine can often be seen (afar) perched on driftwood.

Among today's singing birds on the coastal nature reserve were chiffchaff, blackcap, whitethroat, wren, blackbird and greenfinch.

On the boating lake, there were two tufted drakes  among the plentiful grey lag and barnacle  geese. On the bank were one heron and one cormorant.

This summer, I am not aware of any breeding success for great crested grebes on the lake in the country park, but yesterday I saw two chicks with an adult on Chapman's Pond near the railway station.
