Hi   Jim

We have only ever had one our garden in Somercotes, and that was in 5th. October 1998. As far as I remember it is also the only Lincs Parakeet I've. seen.

Cheers Pete

Lyn Shaw of Exeter University has been in touch.

She is researching the impact in the UK  (if any) of ring-necked/rose-ringed parakeets on our native birds.

I have been able to supply her with info from our bird reports, but she would welcome any further insights about the extent of their spread in Lincolnshire and whether they are poaching food or nesting sites.

If anyone can help, please respond via this Forum and I will pass the information on to Lyn.
