Judging by the scarcity of sightings in Lincolnshire it would seem that parakeets are having virtually no effect on other wildlife in our area. I read somewhere that they favour big cities and don't really spread into none urban areas.

Some years ago, I saw a group (thought to be escapees from a local parrot zoo) mobbing a buzzard in Friskney between Boston and Skegness.

I had one in garden about five year ago. A mate in Ashby had one about same time and his daughter had one a few months later in Bottesford.
