Hi Jim,

Just been viewing the old forum (was going to do a count for Stuart's thread but place names weren't added like nowadays) and noticed a thread you wrote about the above subject on July 1st 2017, I read it through and it reminded me of what you suggested. I added to it as did John W  and Geoff W.

You said it would be a good idea to have a dedicated section for disabled birders with the committee's approval, I can only assume they dismissed it as there is no section on current forum for them.  I suggested using the Venue section at the time but nowt came of it.

As I can see this section is still grossly under used  so am suggesting that this section have a named area for those of us who have problems walking etc. So that like in the original thread you did asking for sites which are easily accessed etc be named like I did at time and others did as well.

I'd like you to put it to the committee forcefully asking if a section can be added to our forum thereby allowing members if needed to see sites around our county they can visit.  For good measure I will write to the chairman as well.

In the 2017 thread I remember John W saying there was a 600 metre boardwalk at Rimac which would be suitable for scooters etc with excellent views over the marshes etc.  And Geoff W saying places he visits with his scooter.

Not everyone is able bodied and can walk long distances, so come on LBC lets see that section!!

If we don't ask we don't get, and sometimes when we do ask we don't get but its still worth asking!

Regards

John aka Max
