I find it very hard to accept that Buzzard is on the list. The count is only for birds that are perched in your garden not seen from it. Strange if enough people have had a buzzard sat there to make it even as number 30. If anything I would expect a Sparrowhawk to be the only raptor appearing there/

THE most common garden bird in Lincolnshire is the house sparrow.

So says the RSPB which has today published the results of its 2023 Big Garden Watch survey conducted in January.

The Top 30 list for Lincolnshire is as follows:

1 House sparrow 

2 Starling

3 Blackbird

4 Woodpigeon 

5 Blue tit

6 Goldfinch 

7 Robin 

8 Collared dove 

9 Great tit

10 Chaffinch

11 Dunnock
