I may be wrong, but I am not aware of the Big Garden Birdwatch data being deemed sufficiently reliable for use by the BTO, the Greater Lincolnshire Nature Partnership’s records department or county birds clubs such as LBC.

However, it is probably a useful general indicator.

(I hope you were suitably tactful, Stuart, when you made the correct identification.)

I am not sure how accurate the count is since my late sister-in-law recorded 22 Dunnocks in her suburban Leicestershire garden.  Next time we visited she pointed them out to me except they were House Sparrows!

Just this morning had Sparrowhawk perched on ground feeding cage. Will post a couple of photos of it later

Agree I get Sparrowhawk's in garden fairly regular BUT never had Buzzard in garden, had plenty over, also had Kestrel and other raptors over. Maybe people with very large gardens of acres had them in garden but those with normal sized ones is very doubtful. Be interesting to see results. I belong Garden Bird Watch by BTO and can't ever remember Buzzard being on list.

Be interesting to know numbers of each bird, also where the highest concentration of the birds are. Even though I didn't take part.

I’m inclined to agree, but RSPB say sparrowhawk came in at 34 - behind moorhen, mallard and blackcap.
