University's invitation to LBC members was created by Jim Wright
Lewys Wheeler of Sheffield Hallam University has been in touch with the club, hoping some members might be willing to provide some species-identification guidance/expertise for students and others.

This is his invitation: "I just wanted to get in touch to let you know that we are organising a Community Winter Bird Survey in the Ancholme Valley for the 10th Jan 2021.

"We will be running the survey between 2 and 4pm at Bonby Carrs and would welcome and appreciate the attendance of LBC member(s).

"If any are interested, please can you pass on my email (lewys@hallamec.plus.com) and ask them to send me an email expressing their interest. I can then add them to an attendance list.

"Obviously any restrictions that are applied due to Covid-19 will be observed and if we have to reschedule because of this then we will.

"However, as of right now, we will be going ahead as planned."

Lewys is a supporter of the LBC so it would be terrific if anyone in North Lincolnshire can spare a couple of hours .
