Clue: village first letter is K and to Lincs people it has three words in its title.

I can say Alan but prefer not to, I know you have been to this reserve/site this year. Am sure one well known N Lincs birder does surveys there unless they have stopped. I had wheatear one time.

It's a pity that you cannot say where it is. I suppose though very few birders on here from around this area and certainly not the type of people who would cause disruption like is now happening at MSQ

Oh heck!

Bet I know somewhere the public may not know, well other than the people who live in the village, and you and me have been quite often NW, its quiet and out the way and has excellent sightings all year. Jim wants to email them, am not saying where NW is on here or it'll be as bad as MSQ. Still wish this forum had a PM service!!

I agree, the only problem with MSQ at the moment is that due to Covid a lot of people have discovered it . You now get a lot of walkers plus families with small children who have no idea how to behave on a nature reserve and treat it as a public park, running around shouting, playing football etc

May get a stonechat if their luck is in. Not great in winter, far better later in year.

They would be far better hiring a boat and going over to Reed's Island no shortage of stuff there :).

Why on earth didn't they choose MSQ bit farther to drive but well worth it in my humble opinion!

To be honest I wouldn't bother with a survey at Bonby Carrs , have been today and like the last two visits hardly anything there No owls or other raptors, no water so no wildfowl not even any geese over, only small birds are linnet and a few winter thrush. Never known so little happening there.
