Went to LGI on monday but this time went much earlier, as I was coming off A1 onto the A64 spotted a Red Kite
which made my day. On way home called at Lindyke car park at Fairburn and had lunch, other a few a dragons nowt, much of the scrapes that I could see from car were dried up.

Wont forget July 11th in an hurry all for the wrong reasons ![:( :(]()
On the way there spotted two geese fly over the A! near Ferrybridge, then on the A64 had an hovering Kestrel.
Normally getting to the LGI is easy and traffic light-ish but certainly wasn't this time, it was clogged with traffic, finally got there only to find no where to park, then when I did I had a driver honking the horn accusing me of pushing in, I told them I'd been there 30 minutes, thankfully I was believed and parked up. On arriving at clinic thought it was little to quiet, only to find out the person I'd gone to see was away
someone came after I rang up and apologised, which I accepted but not before saying my peace in a nice way. Thankfully got my expenses and was told the C.O.M. would ring later which he did, he couldn't apologise enough and said he would get to the bottom of why I was not told by letter etc that I wasn't to go. He will organise my next appointment ASAP.
On way home decided to call at Fairburn Ings saw it was heaving so went to car park further down road and had lunch which I shared with a pair of Magpie and three juvs, one Black-head Gull and two Crow, quite a party we had
I obviously didn't share my flask of tea lol. Quite a few dragons flew by and butterflies am not sure either would have liked the corned beef, cheese and marrow chutney brioche rolls though
After leaving joined the old A! and then missed my turn off for the M62, so carried on the A1 and which was chocka, so came off asap and went a way I hadn't been before, luckily had the sat-nav, came via Snaith, when I stopped a chap and said will this road take me to Scunthorpe by a round about way, he laughed and so did I, he said yes but why have yo come this way from Leeds...
Blimey hope for a better trip next time, no wonder I've been stressed out all day (Thursday).
Kind regards
John

Went again the 15th June, and spotted two Kestrel on the M18 on my side hunting within 100 yards of each other. Then had two Mallard fly over. On way home had a Buzzard perched top of telegraph pole .
Due again next month.

Started driving to the hospitals again.
On way there on the A64 spotted a dead fox side of road. At the LGI watched and listened a Dunnock perched in shrub feet from me, what a lovely few minutes, took my mind off the appointments. On way home stopped at my usual place on the A63 and during the hour watched a Red Kite and a Buzzard within yards at times
. A Kestrel was perched in a silver birch for 45 minutes.
Made my day watching the raptors.
Regards
John
