Jan 23rd: been going decades but doubt have seen as many birds as today mainly corvids, starlings, gulls and pigeons. Did spot a Little Egret near Garforth and Kestrel on M18. As we drove on M181 and under Farmer's Lane bridge saw a tracked JCB clearing out the ditches close to where I view, ready for my next visit.

Restarted going to Leeds again as Covid seems to be on the wain. I no longer drive there, since coming out of hospital I have had to abstain from driving for a while so went with Y.A.S. on way there saw nowt, and began to think same was going to happen going home, but was wrong. A few miles from Garforth on the A63 there is a large refuse pit that is being covered with muck, spotted three Red Kite, they made my year :) !!

Regards

John
