I recently joined the Dragon & Damselfly private group on Facebook after seeing some of the best photography of Odonata I have ever seen, the detail of these is incredible.  A couple of days ago I asked what the secret is and I got loads of replies with lots of info.  I told the group when I go out it's mainly to watch and photograph birds if I see anything else it's a bonus.  But trying to photograph dragon's etc needs a lot of patience which in my later years I have acquired but it's still extremely hard to get one to to settle long enough to take a decent pic.  Did take a decent pic of a Broad-bodied  Chaser at Black Bank recently (I'd forgot about that) and have taken pics of Darters years ago.  I will store the info the group gave and hope to be a better photographer/videographer.

Since the forum stopped publishing our pics years ago I have no idea who is still taking pics of Odonata. Remembering the old forum I know one member (SR)  who specialised on this group and took stunning pics but he doesn't come on here very often and his pics wouldn't be anyway.
