transect on 180618
11 meadow browns the first recorded on transect, small heaths 41, tailing off in numbers, large skippers 10, common blue 11,
speckled wood 4, no other species recorded, 100% sun and 21.5 oc. some sections now very dry and wilted, with only 5mm of rainfall this month.

ST NNR transect 100618
small heath 66, common blue 21, speckled wood 4, large skipper 3, green veined white 1, wall brown 1 , orange tip 1,
also seen painted lady 1 , small copper 2, red admiral 1.
(the highest number of small heaths for several years)

included on transect 010618 was 26 small heaths a significant increase over past 2 years, wall browns have also slightly increased .

Transect on 010518 recorded
peacock 12, green veined white 6, small tortoiseshell 3, orange tip 2, green hairstreak 1, comma 1, speckled wood 1.
brimstone, holly blue seen off transect.
