A morning walk in warm sunshine up past 5 ways was very rewarding
3 of the 4 purple emperors seen were settled on the track or low vegetation giving excellent views ,
similarly so we’re purple hairstreaks and white admirals, ,silver washed fritillaries we’re just wizzing past
also seen several brown and southern hawker dragonflies
By early afternoon with temperatures of 27 oc butterfly activity had considerably reduced.
