I've seen them on the South Downs but that was the first one I've seen in Lincs. After the Black Veined Whites were released down south, and the reintroductions in Chambers Wood, I just wondered if the Marbled Whites at Red Hill are part of a reintroduction scheme.

Hi Pete,

Re Marbled White do you mean first one this year or first one ever in Lincs?

I've only ever seen them once and that was at Red Hill & Little Scrubs Meadow both were my only ever visit in July 2009.

Went to Redhill today to hear the Quail calling, and was shown a Marbled White; the first I've seen in Lincolnshire. Is it likely to be genuine or is it a reintroduction scheme?
