After the low rainfall in much of March and April , 28 mm of rain over recent days (5 to 11 May )
the rather dry fields and pools are now looking a lot better..
Cattle and sheep are grazing all fields .

Thanks for that news Geoff. We are losing so many of these permissive paths that it's good to know NE still has some money left in the pot.

I've been told that the land owner has signed a new deal with NE for a few more years.

I've been informed that the permissive access to the bird hide at Elm House Farm, provided by Defra, has now ended. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks
Geoff
