An hour's walk just after 7 this morning produced 3 singing Treecreepers, 2 pairs of Nuthatches and a pair of Marsh Tits. The flock of 20 Redwings are still at the back end of the wood and several were in song. The field adjacent to the wood had a staggering 800 Fallow Deer in it.. Apparently the farmer won't let anyone shoot them!
