Huttoft, 02-10-18, 07.20-11.15:

PF Goose 50 south in 3 skeins
Wigeon 69 N
Common Scoter 81 N
Velvet Scoter 2, M+F, flew in
RT Diver 4
Manx Shearwater 1
Gannet 194, mainly south
Shag 1 adult N
Sanderling 25
Purple Sandpiper 2, along the beach with 1 Dunlin, presumably looking for somewhere to roost among the many dog walkers.
Pomarine Skua 1 juv/imm S
Arctic Skua 5 S
Guillemot 2 S
Sandwich Tern 13 around

Fewer birds overall, but a pleasing variety.

I was there from 7.10a, to 12.45. Also saw 2 Balearic Sheerwater going north and 2 Great Northern Divers south

Seawatch from Huttoft car terrace, 08.20-11.45, 011018:
Pink-footed Goose 24 S
Wigeon 30 N
Teal 10 N
Common Scoter 26 N
RT Diver 20 around, most landing on the sea
Manx Shearwater 8 S
Sooty Shearwater 1 S
Gannet 280, probably 85% going north, difficult to accurately count
Cormorant 4
GC Grebe 1 N
Sanderling 3
Pomarine Skua 9, inc 6 full-tailed adults (2 north, 4 south, + 3 juvs south)
Great Skua 30, mainly south, but 4 went SW overhead inland.
Arctic Skua 6 S
Guillemot 6 N
Kittiwake 1 ad N

Others present, doubtless with different counts / additional (!) species. Still N/NW tomorrow....
