Best birds seen on a midday bike ride today around Cleethorpes and Humberston were two bullfinches, two yellow wagtails, two grey partridges and , on the lake in the country park, two gc grebe chicks with parents.

The Fitties pools are now so dry as to be wader-unfriendly, though there were a few little egrets in the vicinity.

Swifts seem to have held their own in Cleethorpes this summer, but haven’t seen many elsewhere.
