I saw a neck-collared Pink-footed Goose this morning at Freiston Shore at the north end past the seawatching hide. It was in deep salt marsh vegetation and approachable. Given this and the relatively late date I assume it may have been sick/injured, although there was no external sign of injury.
The neck collar was GREY and had the letters VLS in black. I reported it to monitoring.wwt.org.uk/2017/02/uk-waterbi...oot_marking_success/
and the attached details were quickly returned. Ringed as an adult on 19/07/17 in Iceland.
Regards
Phil
