OMG what a difference looked like a war zone! The lane is pot-holed big time and all the fields that attracted all the good stuff in the good years are now all ploughed up and most are flooded, on way down saw next to nothing except desolation, we both started remembering what had been here in the past. We parked at the rail crossing and scanned and all of a sudden things started picking up :) a male Marsh Harrier and two Buzzard, I spotted two Shelduck and two Oyks, my pal spotted a Sedge Warbler and I saw it fly off. Also had four Lapwing, six Linnet, three Swallow, one Mallard, one Mute Swan and driving back down lane five Wheatear.
We both agreed an early morning visit would produce far more stuff, especially with the flooded ploughed land. Hoping to go next week on a early one, watch this space!! Although very few reports are seen from this place am sure it will pick up.
