An hours walk around the lake with my dogs tonight produced a couple of Sedge Warblers ( One seen, one heard), two male Whitethroats singing, numerous Coots and Moorhens, a pair of tufted ducks and also a pair of G C Grebes nesting very close to one of the footbridges. Thankfully the massive amount of rainfall over the last few weeks has soaked away leaving the footpaths clear and most of the grassy paths ok to use now :-)
