Good spot Jim, yes it is a Spotted Redshank. Longer bill and very slight droop at the tip.

It is a species with which I am unfamiliar, but I've got this down as a Spotted Redshank feeding at the sluice outfall shortly after noon today.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Other highlights included  a skein of c 300 wild geese calling high overhead and four Goldcrests flitting between hawthorn bushes
