I'm near Donna Nook and we had a lone Brambling feeding with chaffinches on the feeders, that was on Tuesday and he spent all day and early evening feeding.. a little beauty and my first proper view of one..

Definitely a brambling. Lucky you, I have had none in my garden this winter.

Can anyone identify this bird was created by Alistair Rinfret
I'm not an expert but this bird appeared in Woodhall Spa at the weekend. Very distinct plumage. Hung around the bird table for a while and then flew off. Didn't have my camera or phone so had to use what I could and then enhance it.
If you can tell me what it is it will be much appreciated. I'm thinking some sort of bunting or siskin.
