Of course nobody is collating the information posted on the Lincs Bird Sightings since I stopped producing the Excel Spreadsheet for the recorders. I did tell John Goy at the time that if he wanted his sightings to be considered for the Bird Report  then he would have to send them in directly as many members still do

I echo your sentiments, Pete.  With regard to your comments, John, I enter my sightings on Birdtrack only and this was acknowledged in the Contributors list.  Having been involved in the Annual Report in previous years, I can assure you that the ommission is because you only enter your sightings on the Forum and not a deliberate snub!

=19.5pxWould have replied before now but have been away.

I have viewed the contributors list and noticed others (who I won't name) who are in the book with nothing in brackets after their name such as BT = Birdtrack or eB = eBirds etc so that's not the reason for my omission.
Have also read the contributors list and it says, ''the following list includes those who submitted more than 40 or more records" well I did, if you include both my two lists that I reported on as often as I could which am sure the regulars know are Local Patch & Beyond I sent in 30 reports and on My Garden I sent in a minimum of 30 reports. So.

Received my copy today.

Just looking at the list of contributors and for first time since I joined LBC about twenty years ago my name has been omitted. Bitterly disappointed. I suppose this is the clubs way of paying me back for when I submitted a site under the name of An Undisclosed Area of North Lincs. I wish now I'd entered the excellent sightings on Birdtrack as I said I would but never got round to it.
I won't bother reading the report as none of my sightings in (sometimes in past reports have spotted one or two) so will add it to past reports on the book case.

It's always been thus. You can't start the 2024 edition until January this year. There is a huge amount of data from an increasing number of observers to gather, then it all has to be written up, then the special reports to write, then the photos to choose and include, and then to get it printed. I'm quite surprised the team get it published in just 18 months.
Great effort guys.

Regards Pete

Being two years behind could go on for ever, are there any plans to condense 2024 with 2025 or something similar?
