One of the birds appears to have a nylon line attached to one, if not both, of its legs - which would explain its limited mobility.

There was a report of one of the birds being present on a groyne near the rock armour this morning.

Three Purple Sandpipers  feeding in company of Turnstones on seawall steps between rock armour and Fuller Street bridge between 9am and 9.30pm (high tide) today. One seemed to be struggling with lameness or loss of a leg.
