If you want to do a bit of matchmaking in the run-up to Valentine's Day, I can offer you a male Blackcap from my garden.

(Warning - it's a ferocious bully - especially to any robins, dunnocks or blue tits that venture too close.)

A Cetti's Warbler calling amongst the reeds in Ainsle Street Park yesterday (30/01/2025).
