In all the years have been recording I cannot remember a time when the House Sparrows have divided their attention to both front and back gardens like they did today, sometimes an odd one would venture round back to see if there was any more food than in their stronghold in front garden, today there was as many in both gardens which made them harder to count:

House Sparrow - 40 ( 19 in back garden & 21 in front)
Greenfinch - 9
Robin - 1 ( unless another one is here this one has a gammy leg and an odd way of fluttering it's right wing a lot and had been here since it was a juv)
Dunnock - 1 ( first one in months)
Magpie - 2
Crow - 2
Jackdaw - 5
Common Gull - 2
Wood Pigeon - 2
Feral Pigeon - 7
Great Tit - 2
Blue Tit - 2
Starling - 9
Chaffinch - 4 ( I keep checking for Brambling)
Goldfinch - 12
Collared Dove - 1
Blackbird - 9

At present there is sixteen feeders up so plenty to go round but still they squabble.

Cheers
John
