There were 5 birds present this morning, they were initially distant on the beach side, but we caught up with them in the field just to the west of the lagoon with the Brents and were a bit closer there.

Still present this morning, but just flew inland towards turbines, with Brents.

No wonder I didn't see them when I turned up at  9.30am yesterday - though there were 150 or so shelduck.

(As a breed, I like spaniels - but they're shockers on the beach. And I suppose, their owners have them for the purpose of chasing quarry.)

There were 6 this morning around 8am, until every bird in the area was put to flight by a pair of Spaniels racing around and through the flocks. All the Brent and Ruddy Shelduck headed off over the marshes toward Tetney.
