Lincolnshire's first official record of black-faced bunting

Birders from far and wide have been heading for Donna Nook this weekend following (intermittent) sightings of a black-faced bunting skulking in hawthorn. The bird, discovered by LBC stalwart Graham Catley, is the first record for the county and one of three sighted this week in Britain. The other two have been at Oxwich on the Gower Peninsula and North Ronalday in the Orkneys. Historically, there are only reckoned to have been about a dozen  confirmed British records
